Sometimes I forget about what got me here in the first place All my attention is typically dead seat on anything meant to bring me down I get hung up on the negative feedback as if the positive has no weight This mind of mine may be a bit unbalanced and despondent at times But if I can manage to embrace the damage I'll be one step closer to where I wanna be My eyes adjust to see what's been right there in front of me this whole time Distractions fade to black as I focus my vision to forget what I won't miss You can't expect to reach your goals without running into some obstacles along the way It really is just a matter of time before they try and discourage you So sing louder than before No doubter can ignore this talent that's in store The path ahead of me is full of traps and bends as far as I can see At least I have a read on what to expect and avoid to reach my destination My eyes adjust to see what's been right there in front of me this whole time Distractions fade to black as I focus my vision to forget what I won't miss My eyes adjust to see what's been right there in front of me this entire time Distractions fade to black as I focus my vision to forget what I won't miss I said I'll focus my vision to forget what I won't miss

Gone 03:00
Trust me, I'm good at sensing a lie When you told me that things were fine, your lips were shaking It's so frustrating If all I'm good for is building you up to be broken down Then I'm better off alone, away, a ghost We both know I never cling to you That's why I'm so confused There's really no excuse Don't blink or you'll miss me when I forget about us and all we had It's not hard to see that I'm not to you what you are to me And all this arguing makes it easy to hate you and hard to breathe If you think I'll put up with this, you'll find out you thought wrong 'Cause by this time tomorrow you'll look for me and find out I'm long gone So much for keeping us in check I'm exhausted and out of breath from the weight I've been bearing alone You don't talk to me like you do my friends You keep me distant; keep my hanging around ...and around and around we go It's not hard to see that I'm not to you what you are to me And all this arguing makes it easy to hate you and hard to breathe If you think I'll put up with this, you'll find out you thought wrong 'Cause by this time tomorrow you'll look for me and find out I'm long gone I'm not to you what you are to me This is getting old It's easy to hate you and hard to breathe I have grown so cold

Head Change 03:36
Whenever it feels like the world is turning just to shut you down, you'll need to accept that you're thinking irrationally Thoughts like that are fabricated by your own mind as a cop out 'Cause every time that you label your failures as a sign from a greater power saying "you weren't meant to succeed", you're robbing yourself the chance of achieving what you had initially planned to With this mentality, you're only bound to fail It's time for a head change This destructive mindset is not grounded in reality We're losing you You're so delusional because it's easier to quit than to try again (x2) For every second spent second guessing yourself, you're moving equally as far in the wrong direction So find your way back to the start It's time for a head change This destructive mindset is not grounded in reality We're losing you You're so delusional because it's easier to quit than to try again (x2) For every second spent second guessing yourself, you're moving equally as far in the wrong direction So find your way back to the start

If all it took to advance in life was talking of every plan that you'd like to achieve without even making an effort to do so, then everyone would never want or need to try Nothing ventured, nothing lost but a will to fight And I'm so thankful that things aren't like that I only keep to myself... 'Cause you talk enough for the both of us I've heard it all before and I'm sure that you're running out of breath By now I hope you're starting to accept that you're never gonna get where you wanna be You've gotta work as much as you wanna speak in order to accomplish anything I know you'd rather say than do, but no one's gonna listen up unless you follow through I'll be the first to admit that I've been subject to quit I'm the king of excuses; prone to being reclusive But I've learned how to make my way through this I'm driven by failures and a hunger for greater things With that being said, I've got too much on my plate and my head to let out so soon I'll transpose these emotions into melodies chosen to reflect my drive 'Cause you talk enough for the both of us I've heard it all before and I'm sure that you're running out of breath By now I hope you're starting to accept that you're never gonna get where you wanna be You've gotta work as much as you wanna speak in order to accomplish anything I know you'd rather say than do, but no one's gonna listen up unless you follow through I can tell by the words you say The drive is there but the work you hate You put up a front and it's all for the sake of the conversation at hand If change is what you intend to find, it all begins with your frame of mind In time you won't have to search for words; they'll be said about you instead You'll then reflect after one long day on the power of actions over what you say If and when from there you keep up the routine you'll be moving in the right direction A week, a month, and a year have gone by You don't bring it up much because you don't have the time Everyone who ever doubted you is now on your side 'Cause what you said in the past is coming to light
